Dandridge Historic Planning Commission

If your property is located in (or your project affects) the Dandridge Historic District, the Dandridge Historic Planning Commission (HPC) is the review body that helps protect the character of the Town’s historic areas by guiding preservation, rehabilitation, new construction, and other exterior changes that impact the district’s appearance. Before you begin work—especially changes visible from the public way such as exterior alterations, additions, certain site features, or signage—you may need to follow the Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) process outlined in the Town’s Historic District Design Guidelines, and submit the Town’s Historic Planning Commission Request Form with plans and supporting materials for HPC consideration. The Town also posts HPC agendas/minutes and public meeting information so applicants can track meeting dates and be prepared to present their request.
